ENTANGLEMENTS RENDEZ VOUS 2007: CLASSICAL 101 |
"We're switching to Daylight Savings time so summer and summer romance must be around the corner. One of the romantic pleasures of summer is a concert at Tanglewood, the Boston Symphony Orchestra's summer home in the Berkshires.
To get you to in the mood we're hosting Entanglements...a unique, engaging, fun evening to give you a taste of the Tanglewood experience.
There will be time for mingling before and after the presentation. We'll be showing a short Tanglewood video accompanied by a talk from Randie Harmon from the BSO. We'll discuss the fun upcoming trips over the summer...and the highlight of the evening will be the Classical 101 performance (see description below).
Entry fee includes passed appetizers of Chicken Quesadilla, Vegetable Quiche and Vegetable Spring Rolls. Two drink tickets will be provided when you arrive for a choice of the following: Beer/Coors Lite, House Red or White Wine, Mojitos, Margaritas and Martinis, Soda and Bottled Water.
Classical 101 is an interesting, fun way to learn about classical music. In addition to listening to short examples from some of the great works from every age, there will be a contest to match the piece with the movie or TV show it appeared in. The winner gets a...well we're not telling just yet. Bring your ears and a sense of humor.
