Who Are Our Members? The ages of our members range
across the board. Our members come from diverse backgrounds
and are upscale professionals looking to get back to the
basics of dating. Our groups are divided into 20s/30s,
30s/40s & 40s/50s. Most events are catered to a particular
age group and some events are open to our whole list. Our
members come from the 5 boroughs of NY as well as
Westchester, Connecticut, NJ & PA so there will always be an
interesting mix of people for you to meet.
What Are Our Events Like? Our events are held in
Manhattan in comfortable, fashionable bars, lounges,
restaurants, museums, dance clubs, etc. They are held at
venues which are conducive to meeting others and where you
are able to interact and talk to each other. It’s no point
trying to talk to others with music so loud you can’t hear
what someone is saying. Where appropriate we use ice-breaker
games or questions to enable our members to get to know a
little more about each other. Our friendly hosts make guest
introductions to ensure it is easy for you to meet other
members.
How Much Is Membership? Absolutely FREE! We don’t
like the idea of making money on members just to sign up –
we prefer to charge for our events. That way you can choose
how often and how much you’d like to spend. All of our
events are reasonably priced and range from $10 upward,
depending on what kind of event we are promoting. We have
started using Paypal to make it easier for members to sign
up ahead of time and receive a discounted price.
How Do We Handle Cancellations? Real Live People
Party reserves the right to cancel an event if conditions
arise that require us to do so. If possible we will refund
your money or offer admission to a future event in lieu of
the cancelled event. If you cannot show up for a pre-paid
event no refund will be issued. You may send a friend to
take your place.
How Do We Handle The Privacy Issue? Your email
address and personal information will not be sold, rented or
given to anyone, nor will it be displayed in our emails to
our members. On occasion, we may take photos at our events.
Your participation in any event provides consent for us to
take photos or video which we may use for promotional
business, including our website.
Is There A Code of Conduct And Behavior? Yes. We ask
that attendees behave in a genteel and respectful manner
toward other members. If a member is offensive at an event,
we will ask them to leave.
What Happens With Membership Termination? We reserve
the right to terminate membership for any reason. Should you
decide to cancel your membership, you may contact us or
remove yourself from our mailing list.
Is There A Liability Factor? Your participation in a
Real Live People Party event provides us your
acknowledgement that you participate at your own risk. Real
Live People Party shall not be liable for direct, indirect,
incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from
any participation of our events, the website, or the use of
our website. These limitations also apply with respect to
damages incurred by reason of other services or products
received through or advertised in connection with Real Live
People Party events, the website, or any links on our
website.
