| "When I got the email about
the Caribbean cruise in March I thought it
sounded like a great time to get away so I took
the plunge - even after finding I would have to
go alone since none of my friends were available
that week. From the first cocktail party we had
while still docked, any doubts I had about going
alone were removed. People were so friendly and
the scene was just what I would have hoped for.
The age group was mostly in the 30-50 range and
what made it so interesting is that people were
from all over the US, with a smattering of
foreigners too. We had private cocktail parties,
pub crawls, karaoke happy hours, and organized
trips during the days for those who wanted to
join, and people just had general good fun.
Highlights were a sunset cruise off the coast of
Aruba and a fantastic hike in the wilds of the
rain forest in Dominica. The people made all the
difference so in all, it was a great trip that
I'll remember fondly."
